Why am I putting on this exhibition?

Short Answer:

Primarily, this project is to complete the requirements for my graduate program. However, there are several other reasons to put this on. More on that later.

What is the exhibition about?

Short Answer:

The exhibition is about the work of Joshua McFadden, a recent SCAD Graduate who is gaining traction and attention with his work. The over-arching theme he focuses on is the Black Identity in American culture and what black lives really are. This includes sub-themes, like colorism, social justice, and “What defines a man?”. The artist talk focuses on Joshua’s work, process, and passions that fuel his work.

Where is it?

Short Answer:

The Gallery name is “1280 Gallery” and it is located in the Memorial Building on Woodruff Arts Center campus. The address is:

When is it?

Short Answer:

The Exhibition is August 8th – 15th

The artist talk is August 11th| 7:00pm – 9:00pm

What to expect?

Short Answer:

Expect a collection of beautiful photography,experience the stories and lives of the people Joshua has photographed, and an opportunity to bond with the artist.

How can I help?

Short Answer:

Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated. Attend to the exhibition, and/or artist talks. It will be broadcasted on the 11th.
